Common Law Entrance Exam -LAWCET from next Year
All the seven law universities in the country, including National Law
School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, have decided to hold a
common entrance test (CET) to reduce exam-related stress among
students.
The decision was taken in response to a public interest litigation
filed by Varun Bhagat, a Class 12 student, who knocked on the doors of
the Supreme Court saying it was difficult for him to prepare for
multiple law entrance tests along with the board exams.
At a meeting convened earlier this month, directors of all seven law
universities at Bangalore, Bhopal, Raipur, Hyderabad, Jodhpur,
Gandhinagar and Kolkata told the HRD ministry that they are ready to
hold CET from next year….

Applications are invited in the prescribed form for All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT) 2007 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi as per the following schedule for admission to 15% of the total seats for Medical/Dental Courses in all Medical/Dental colleges run by the Union of India, State Governments, Municipal or other local authorities in India except in the States of ANDHRA PRADESH AND JAMMU & KASHMIR :-

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for CBSE AIPMT 2007:

Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
* He/She has completed 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31 st December of the year of his/her admission. Candidates born on or after 02-01-1991 are not Eligible.
* The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31 st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Schedule Tribes/Other Backward Classes
