BioInformatics National Certification (BINC) Examination

Providing a unique opportunity to aspiring `bioinformaticians', the University of Pune's Bioinformatics Centre will conduct BioInformatics National Certification (BINC) examination in February 2007, which will help identify talented bioinformatics professionals, and aid potential employers in recruitment.

BINC is being conducted by University of Pune on behalf of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, which has selected UoP as thenodal centre for the exam. Conducted for the first time in November 2005, BINC is open to graduates of all sciences, engineering, technology, as well as agriculture, veterinary, medicine or pharmacy,who have studied bioinformatics and wish to be certified by the DBT.
