CAT 2006 -1.91 lakh candidates to fight it out !

Around 1.91 lakh candidates will appear for the Common Admission Test
(CAT) this year to gain entry into the IIMs, as against 1.57 lakh
candidates last year, a top official of IIMB said.

The increase in the number of candidates appearing for CAT this year
is despite the IIMs decision to curb the number of applicants by
increasing the eligibility criteria to an overall 50 per cent score in
