Kerala Self-Financing colleges admission from August 16
TRIVANDRUM — The admission process in self-financing medical and engineering colleges in Kerala, derailed by an interim order of the high court, will start anew on August 16 subject to the final court judgment.
The admissions to both merit and management quota seats in colleges will be on the basis of the fees approved by Justice P. A. Mohammed, Education Minister M.A Baby said while announcing the fresh allotment schedule here yesterday. He said that the fees in the colleges that have reached an agreement with the government will change if the high court approves the new fee structure evolved as per the agreement. At the time of admissions, the students will have to furnish a bond in this regard. Students who secure admission in the merit quota will have to pay lower fees and those securing admissions in 35 per cent of the 50 per cent management quota seats will have to pay higher fees if the high court approves the fee structure. The fee for 15 per cent NRI quota remains unchanged.
