The Results of Common Admission Test (CAT) held on Nov. 18, 2007 is likely to be declared on January 8, 2008.
The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode and Lucknow conducts the Common Admission Test (CAT) annually for admission to the following PG Management (MBA) programmes.
IIM Ahmedabad – Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), PGP – Agri-business Management (ABM).
IIM Bangalore – PGP and PGP in Software Enterprise Management (PGSEM)
IIM Calcutta – PGP and PG Diploma in Computer Aided Management.
IIM Kozhikode – PGP.
IIM Indore – PGP and Executive PG Programme in Management.
IIM Lucknow – PGP and PGP in Agribusiness Management (PGP- ABM)

As from 2009 onwards, The chances of appearing in the AIEEE (All-India Engineering Entrance Examination) have been reduced to three.
At present, the students can appear for the examination for any number of times. The new decision will be applicable for the students appearing from the year 2009 onwards.
The decision was taken in a recent meeting of senior officials of the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). The board is conducting the examination.
The AIEEE is a competitive exam that is taken by students after Class XII for securing a seat in engineering colleges. According to the sources, the decision has been taken to improve the quality of education.
