IIT Joint Entrance Exam 2012 Dates Announced
The Next All India IITJEE 2012 (Joint Entrance Exam) for 2012 Admissions to B.E. and B.Tech Courses in Indian Institutes of Technologies in India will be conducted on April 8, 2012.
On the pattern of a Common All India National Entrance cum Eligibility Test (NEET) for admission to medical courses in India, The Government of India is planning to scrapp all Engineering Entrance Exams and come up with a common Engineering Entrance Test from 2013 Session
Currently, various state boards and institutions, including the IITs, conduct at least 150 entrance exams every year. The government decided to dump all such exams, including the IIT-JEE and the AIEEE.
IITs protest New Admissions Proposal
Students of the Indian Institute of Technology ) have planned a series of non-violent protests against the IIT Council’s new admission proposal. A boycott of classes, initially planned for September 23, has now been postponed to October 14.
IIT JEE 2012 Imp. Dates
Examination schedule: 8th April, 2012 Paper 1: 09.00 – 12.00 hrs
(Sunday) Paper 2: 14.00 – 17.00 hrs
Paper 1 and Paper 2 each will have separate sections in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics
