Admission in Diploma Courses

There are at present 251 Polytechnics in Tamilnadu State offering Diploma courses, Post Diploma courses and Certificate courses on various branches of studies in Engineering and Technology. Ten Institutes of Catering Technology and Hotel Management offering 3 year Diploma courses are also affiliated to Directorate. The candidates who complete the Xth Standard are eligible for admission for Polytechnic Colleges and XIIth Standard for Catering Institutions. Before the admission process is started, the required qualifications such as Age, Marks required, Number of Seats in the various categories etc. are published in the leading dailies so that students can decide their choice of Polytechnic, Course etc. well in advance.
